A very easy and quick treat that is quite satisfying when the you are craving something sweet and decadent. Be careful because it can be quite addicting though if you are sensitive to sweets like me (a little goes looong way), then you will have for yourself two weeks of treats.
INGREDIENTS
- 250-300 g soft dates, opened, without stone
- raw butter OR if you are not allergic or obsessive, creamy peanut butter
- a handful of your favourite nuts OR your favourite granola (I use one with the lovely, low heavy-metal chocolate and cacao, Valrhona)
- chocolate chips, cooking range Jivara 40% milk chocolate also by Valrhona (you can use something else, if you are in Sweden, Odense chokladknappar if you so wish) to melt
- pinch of sea salt flakes
directions
- Open your sticky dates in half and place them nicely in a 34×24 cm steel sheet pan that has been lined with non-toxic baking paper.
- Spread your butter or peanut butter on top of the layer with dates.
- Next up, add your granola or nuts. Make this layer as thick as you wish.
- Melt the chocolate chips and pour this over the granola layer.
- Add pinch of salt.
- Freeze until chocolate is set.
Enjoy! You can serve this with a nice tea or a big glass of milk.
