ABOUT

I am Julia Follin and I am the person behind this website and all the social media accounts I will list down below. I am the mother of two sweet children and currently pregnant with my third little one, wife of Marcus Follin (aka The Golden One), author of Old World Feast cookbook, photographer behind our Legio Gloria clothing brand, recipe creator for our supplement brand Jotunheim Nutrition, fertility-focused (certified by the CMA) nutritionist, content creator and author of the popular ”Your Female Health Guide E-Book” available on Gumroad, personal chef for my sweet family and postgraduate ex-Economist with Specialisation in Revenue Management for Luxury Hotel Chains, Marketing Specialist by the IE Business School, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist by University of California Davis, Social Media Marketing Specialist by Northwestern University (Illinois).

I am currently educating myself for gut-brain connection, continuing my CPD studies as a homeopath and naturopath.

You might be wondering ”what a mix of hobbies and professions!” Yes. This is due to my background, as I am coming from a medical family (father a doctor and mother a nurse, aunts and uncles doctors, nurses and chemists) but I had a strong willingness to break the line and pursue an Economics career. I still hold a naturally-instilled passion for medicine, biology and overall health sciences.

I am also a sensitive young woman that loves her heritage and beautiful European civilisation. Our countries and cultures throughout Europe hold excessively precious beauty and worth, something I am actively working to showcase and talk about throughout my content on social media, especially on Instagram and X. I often balance my content between wellness advice, political issues and cultural questions.

I want to be able to show my children the Europe I knew in the early 2000s, walking down the street safely without worrying about the next explosion, knife attack, robbery… I want my children to see the beauty our ancestors were capable of, the nostalgic Europe I got to travel around when I was small. I miss those times so much it makes my eyes teary, knowing that we are so so so close to losing that for good.

To make it clear, I mainly work for our family businesses, helping my husband with all and everything he needs, allowing him time for his work and making his life easier so he can develop his content, attend the businesses, etc. Secondly, right now, I have been offering pro-bono fertility advice to those that approached me as clients, as I do not have the possibility right now to take clients as I am pregnant and want to focus on my family, I could not commit to any scheduled work, therefore I just decided to help freely.

I would love to have the slot of time to actually take clients again as I miss the commitment but at this point in life, my small children need me most as well as my husband, so that is my priority. At the same time, I am active on some social media channel every day so if you have any question or doubt you can always find me either on X or Instagram, surely.

Some random things about me:

  • I enjoy heavy metal, but also classical music and techno
  • I have a non-curable nostalgia for the Atlantic (blood memories perhaps, as I did find out I had some Irish ancestor)
  • I used to be a lot into both bodybuilding and powerlifting back before having children (at 65 kg bodyweight with the last tested stats of 1 RM: DL at 150 kg, Squat 138,8 kg, Bench Press 80 kg, right before first pregnancy), I must say I simply do not find the time for it, but hopefully when the little ones are a little bigger, I miss it greatly
  • I love reading about the Middle Ages, this started as a teenager when I got into Philippa Gregory’s The Plantagenet and Tudor novels
  • I am not a Christian by choice ever since a teenager – I chose Paganism (Perennialist) because it felt natural and I had a close connection with nature thanks to my grandparents upbringing, neither my family is Christian, parents are agnostic and grandparents were a lot into folk beliefs, which were rooted in pre-Christianity, reason why it resonates so much with me
  • I never smoked nor drank alcohol (not even celebratory) and I oppose these two habits aggressively especially for women, even more so as mothers
  • I am a polyglot in both romance and germanic languages, our children speak English by default aside from native Swedish and aiming at teaching them Spanish or Italian as their romance language and German as their other germanic language
  • I attended both private and public schools, which made me dislike public education quite a bit as the difference was quite noticeable in terms of teachers’ professionalism
  • I used to play tennis as a child, been a lot into swimming as a teen and a lot of rollerskating and tricks
  • I love creating with my hands, I also like calligraphy and painting if I ever get the time
  • I absolutely love gems and crystals
  • Peonies are my favourite flowers
  • Stews are my favourite food I could eat every day for the rest of my life, together with French cheese and all sort of fish and seafood
  • I like LEGO, even now as an adult

I will update this list of curiosities about me as I realise more quirky things about myself!

Until then, see you on social media if you decide to follow me there, here are the links:
