Ischoklad or Eiskonfekt (Ice Chocolate/Icy Cups) is a very popular Yule treat in Sweden (also known in Denmark, Germany and UK). They are small little chocolates with a refreshing peppermint sting and a very full chocolate taste. You can find these in the supermarket here in Sweden already (they’re sold usually only during winter) but looking at the ingredient list and spotting SOY or other abominations, it’s beyond barbaric.
Ingredients:
- 100 g coconut butter
- 200 g high quality dark chocolate
- 1 or 2 drops peppermint oil
Directions:
You melt the chocolate over a low fire, nice and smooth and stirring. When almost ready, add the coconut butter and mix until everything is combined well. At the end, add the peppermint oil drops and whisk few seconds more. Take away from heat and use these small aluminium foil forms (you find them at all supermarkets in Sweden nowadays at least).
Pour gently and place in fridge until hardened.

Enjoy your homemade ischoklad to serve this Yule!
Hi, what are the foil cups called in the supermarkets please? trying to locate some but having no luck. Many thanks

I have no idea for other countries than Sweden. In Sweden they’re called ”ischokladformar” and you find them at any supermarket (ICA, Coop..) but you can really use whatever small shapes (like for pralines) if you are outside Sweden.
